Hi, my name is Dave, I was first licensed as a NOVICE (WN8ODF) in 1969 at the age of 12 and enjoyed thousands of world wide CW contacts. I soon became a general class (WB8ODF) and on to SSB.

In 1976 I used the call AB8ODF for the centennial and in that same year went on a ARRL DXpedition to Quito Ecuador and worked 10 / 15 / 20 meter dx pile-ups for 24 hours as HD5EE, There is nothing like being on the other end of a DX pile up!

In 2009 I stumbled into a repeater which had the Friday Night International IRLP Open Forum Net on 9205 and I fell in love with the IRLP/VoIP concept (since I worked in the VoIP field) and had to become part of it. I built my first node for a friend here (Mark KC8QVX - 4812) and became a regular on the net.

I then became one of the regular Net Contol Operators every single Friday night that I was near an IRLP node.

Having built my own node (8139) I was able to get on more and more nets and just loving it.

Starting the same time I built my friends node I started writing IRLP programs for our nodes, I started putting them up on my web site and alot of people starting downloading and using them.

I am always willing to support them anytime I am available. You can download any of my programs by going to wb8odf.com and reading the instructions.

In August of 2011 Ron (VA7MWR) approached me about taking over as Net Manager of both the Friday Night International IRLP Open Forum Net and the Say Good Morning With Radio Net. Of course I agreed and it is now been over 5 years as Net Manager.

The two nets have had a very long and good run but I have left the Morning With Radio Net and closed the Friday Night International IRLP Open Fourm Net.

I have started a brand new net called simply "THE NET" it happens every Friday Night at 09:00/21:00 PM EST/EDT on the Micro-Node Reflector 9668 it has a new and FRESH rotating format.

More personal information to come.
